[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, has been arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS).
Reports said Magu, a Commissioner of Police, was picked up by the DSS at the Wuse zone 2 office of the EFCC in Abuja on Monday, and was being quizzed over sundry allegations at the headquarters of Nigeria’s secret police at the time of filing this report.
Tony Amokeodo, spokesperson to the Magu who confirmed Magu’s presence at the DSS headquarters, however said he was invited, but not arrested.
The EFCC boss had recently been sailing in stormy waters over allegations of corruption, prompting the Federal Government to set up a panel to probe him
